Final Thoughts

My thoughts

I used to love Legos as a kid but I never had a Lego set. Legos meant a lot to me as a kid because me and my sister are 8 years apart. So we never had a lot in common but she would always help me build whatever crazy idea I had. My friend Joseph got me the Ford GT set for my birthday. He wanted me to try a set because of how satisfying he said it was for him. I've never been into Lego sets I think a lot of them are cool but to me, they are a bit overpriced and as I kid what I loved most was making what I wanted so I wasn't too sure how much I was going to enjoy at the start.

At the start, I was blown away by how many pieces there were when I was a kid there were mainly just blocks. But now there are so many different pieces it was insane. As I was building I put on a podcast or show and that really got me into a flow. But as I mentioned before Bag #2 was a real wall for me about halfway through that bag I wasn't enjoying it and it started to feel like a chore. As soon as I got that feeling I took a break. After the break though my excitement died down and the fatigue of all the tiny pieces got to me. It took days for me to want to continue.

Bag #2 felt like it should've been divided into two bags I feel like if it was then I wouldn’t have gotten burnt out. I do really enjoy how they split it out into bags it helps keep it organized. Each bag felt like a checkpoint in a game. Each bag after that was nice and I got back into the grove of it.

After I finished it felt incredibly rewarding after all those hours it finally looked like the pictures on the box. I do see the appeal now for sure. I could have a replica of the car but having the Lego set feels cooler because I actually sat there and built it. I still think the pricing is a little too steep and I think if I hadn't started with such a large build I would had more fun. But with all that being said It was a great way to unwind after a long day and just chill and build and I wouldn't mind getting a different set in the future.
